Full-Time Position
We are a senior living community looking for the right person to join our team located in Yorba Linda, California. This community is committed to providing the best options for our residents. The services that we offer ensure residents continue to live the lives that they want while also meeting all of their needs along the way.
This position is responsible for preparing nutritious, appetizing, and attractive meals while working as a team with other food service members to provide smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the Kitchen area. All policies and procedures must be followed, including menu and portion-control requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
o Preparing quality food daily as outlined on the Food Production Worksheet
o Ensuring proper preparation, portioning and serving of foods according to standardized recipes
o Assisting with setup, service and cleanup of food production
o Following departmental standards for safety, proper sanitation and storage of kitchen utensils and equipment
o Adhering to all safety and sanitation standards with state, local and regulatory agencies as they relate to food service.
Education/
Experience:
Food Handler or SafeServ Certification
High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Ability to read and write English
Two (2) years' experience in institutional or full-service restaurant cooking
Ability to prepare and follow recipes
Knowledge of and ability to conform to food services sanitation practices
Ability to communicate in English with residents and other employees
Hiring is contingent upon a successful interview, application and clean background clearance (as required by the state of California) in addition to a TB test and physical.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
