Registered Nurse (RN) Surgical

The Northern Arizona VA Health Care System is actively recruiting an RN for the Specialty clinics.
The S&D Clinic RN demonstrates leadership in delivering and improving holistic care utilizing collaborative strategies with clients, family members and members of the interdisciplinary team.
The nurse is responsible to the nurse manager, and may function as team leader or charge nurse in providing and guiding the care of the patient during the pre-procedure, intra-procedure and post-procedure phases.
The Specialty Clinics provide service to patients with acute and/or chronic medical and surgical conditions (i.
e.
general surgery, podiatry, infusion clinic, urology, orthopedics, cardiology, and oncology for the outpatient population) All ages of men and women are seen in these clinics.
The Nurse II works autonomously to develop health promotion, performance improvement and evidence-based practice projects specific to the ambulatory surgery specialties.
The Nurse works independently to revise policies/procedures and develop an education plan to improve knowledge within the ambulatory surgery sub-specialties.
Duties consist of assisting with the surgery and diagnostics clinics, as well as scrubbing and circulating for a variety of procedures within several surgical specialties.
Responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care.
Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care based on age-specific components.
Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient transition through the continuum of care, patient and family education, patient self-management after discharge, and supporting factors that impact customer satisfaction.
Considers all characteristics of the individual, including age and life stages, state of health, race and culture, values, and previous experiences.
Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines.
Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.
Core elements of performance include knowledge and active participation in unit/program level quality improvement processes and initiatives as well as customer service programs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
