Press Feeder Operator
Job Purpose:
Sets up and maintains the press equipment and materials for press jobs.
Work Schedule: 4 ten-hour days (Monday - Thursday). 6 pm - 4 am
Duties:
o Reviews the job ticket and verifies any special instructions prior to setting up the job.
o Ensures that all of the materials (ink, coatings, proofs, samples, and plates) are available for the job.
o Assists in watching for proper sizing, finishing, and problems during the job run.
o Washes blankets and cylinders as needed.
o Maintains ink fountains at optimal levels.
o Measures and documents conductivity, PH, and the temperature of the water on the press.
o Keeps the work area and equipment clean, neat and organized.
Skills /
Qualifications:
o 2 to 3 years' experience feeder experience, UV experience preferred.
o Ability to meet tight deadlines.
o Understands measurements of conductivity, PH, and temperature of water and what they represent.
o Must be a team player.
o Ability to follow oral and written job instructions.
Physical Requirements:
o Able to move / lift 20 lbs. frequently.
o Push / pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
o Ability to be on feet continuously for 8 to 10 hour periods.
o Has excellent hand / eye coordination, manual dexterity.
Must be available for all shifts, and to work overtime as needed. This will primarily be a second shift position.
Pre=employment drug screen required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
