JOB DESCRIPTION
Manage department providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all Big Tex activities that will assist management, its shareholders and other users in making educated economic decisions about the Big Tex's future. Controller will be a member of the Accounting & Finance department and will report directly to and work alongside the Chief Accounting Officer. This position provides a great opportunity to learn, develop and be part of a dynamic environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the activities of the Corporate Accounting Department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, and annual audits and annual budgets.
Oversee the activities of the Disbursement Department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control, core payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance.
Oversee the activities of the Accounts Receivable Department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all Accounts Receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application and customer service.
Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company's value.
Respond to CAO as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate their financial needs.
Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
Assist in the month-end closing process.
Provide education and training to teams as appropriate.
Assist leadership in the development, tracking, implementation and verification of capital projects.
Ensure that internal controls are appropriately designed and operating effectively.
Execute ad-hoc financial/quantitative analysis and various requests in support of business unit and corporate executives
EXPERIENCE /EDUCATION / TRAINING
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
6- 10 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience
CPA certification a plus
In depth working knowledge of General Ledger
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and ERP System Functionality
Ability to be adaptive to frequent changes in priorities, organization and strategy; flexible to meet critical deadlines with short lead times
A proactive, independent thinker who can figure things out with limited direction
Effective oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to efficiently communicate financial results to both financially and non-financially oriented personsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
