Broadcast System Engineering Technical Lead
We are seeking a motivated technical leader to execute multiple simultaneous projects. This role requires a special candidate who has a positive attitude integrated with a spectrum of skills in business system analysis, capability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs, ability to serve as a subject matter expert during development, test and deployment activities, and understanding the long-term technology and design goals.
This is a contracting opportunity (1099) that is expected to last for more than a year.
Responsibilities
Partner with business stakeholders to review and understand business requirements.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural design
Document and review technical specifications with cross-functional teams
Facilitate and lead design review sessions and technical discussions
Support the project through entire development lifecycle from initial kick-off to production deployment
Participate in commercial-off-the-shelf product evaluation and selection
Be a subject matter expert in the assigned functional domain
Research emerging trends and technologies
Proactively identify and suggest architectural improvements in as-is Systems
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Computer Science), Master's degree preferred

years relevant experience as a Systems Engineer in a fast paced environment required
Experience in Business Systems Analysis, Requirements Elaboration and high-level architectural designs
Understanding of software development methodologies and structured approaches to system development is required
Leadership qualities, including ability to facilitate technical discussions with diverse and cross-functional groups, time management, organizational and negotiation skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with the ability to adapt and change priorities as the business needs change
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to tailor communication to the target audience to achieve desired results
Understanding of latest trends and technologies including mobile based applications preferred
Understanding of security and/or infrastructure would be a significant benefit
Demonstrated success in working effectively with Program Management, cross-functional teams and senior management
Preferred Qualifications
Fluent in Spanish / Portuguese
Experience object-oriented design and development, Java, J2EE, and middleware/enterprise application architecture/implementation.
Experience with SOAP, REST web services
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
