POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Occupational Therapist would evaluate and treat patients, in accordance with the orders from the physician, through the use of therapeutic procedures and assistive devices intended to maximize functional potential in all areas of a patient's life. The Occupational Therapist will work as a member of a team providing support and information within the area of Occupational Therapy. The Occupational Therapist will provide therapy services in a Skilled Nursing Facility and Home Health Care. This is a PART TIME position (Tuesday and Thursday) in the La Porte area.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Occupational Therapy
Current state license/certification
Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board
Prefer minimum one (1) year experience in rehabilitation
Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to provide therapy services in locations including, but not limited to, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities or Home Health Care
Demonstrate competency in applying the principles, methods, materials and equipment used in specific therapy discipline
Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to walk, bend, drive, stand, sit and reach constantly during an eight (8) hour day
Ability to speak and hear to understand and give directions
Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to assess and monitor patient needs, maintain accurate records, understand directions and recognize people
Ability to push wheeled equipment
Ability to lift patient using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of an eight (8) hour day
Work endurance ability to work eight (8) hour days
Ability to participate in sustained activity for up to three and a half (3.5) hours at a timeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
