Our client is looking for a Site Energy Leader to lead site energy and sustainability strategy and execute projects that deliver improvements in energy usage and meet sustainability goals.

This is a full-time position paying $47,100-81,400 and offering a full benefits package including an incentive bonus, full medical/dental, 401K, tuition assistance, free health club, and professional advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities include:
Identify and execute performance improvement projects, engineering studies, and plant trials to meet current year objectives as well as multi-year plans for the manufacturing units in which the individual has responsibilities. Manage and implement process engineering deliverables for projects, ensuring sound safety and engineering principles are applied. - 80%
Provide technical support for advanced troubleshooting of plant issues and implement corrective actions. - 20%

This position will include process engineering responsibility in one or more of the manufacturing units on site, including both chemical and compounding operations. Engineering disciplines will include but are not limited to: reaction kinetics/chemistry, fluid flow including powder transfer, heat transfer, distillation, centrifugation and separation, solids handling and mixing, and polymer processing/compounding.

Key interfaces include operations engineers and plant operators/ technicians, project engineers, process control engineers, product development and R&D representatives, maintenance/reliability engineers. In addition there will be frequent interaction with site and business leaders. Individual will also interact with other sites around the globe to share best practices. For internal applicants, this position follows MTCP.

The ideal candidate must have the following:
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering preferred. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Nuclear Engineering considered.
Minimum 5 years' experience in Chemical Manufacturing and/or an Extrusion Environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to collect, organize, and analyze large amounts of data
Demonstrated track record of teamwork
Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States

Desired Skill - The individual should have a high level of competency/ability in the following areas:
Project management
Demonstrated leadership of teams
Knowledge of Process Safety Management and Environmental Health and Safety requirements for covered chemical processes
Understanding of how manufacturing metrics (i.e. yield, material & energy usage, etc.) tie to the business financials and production cost curves
