Project Design Engineer - Tool Development
Overview:
Client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer. The candidate will participate in a cross-functional design team and will be responsible for product conceptualization, modeling, and analytical design. The duties will include developing, designing, and troubleshooting roll grooving and cut grooving equipment.
Projects and Activities:
The following projects are identified for this individual:
Develop Pipe positing and alignment tools
Design field and fabrication roll grooving tools
Design field and fabrication cut grooving tools
Pressing and forming machinery design
Support legacy product design improvements and support operations (supplier and manufacturing changes)
Skills and
Qualifications:
BSME or equivalent degree with 2-5 years on work experience
Must be proficient with creating 2D and 3D drawings (Preferably Solid Works)
Working knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, and or rotating machinery
Hands on experience working with machinery and laboratory equipment
Perform mechanical design analyses and calculations
Finite analyses experience a plus.
