Quality Manager
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in scientific discipline plus
o six (6) years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
o eight (8) years progressive food/beverage quality systems experience, including statistical process control (SPC.)
o effective leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills in both the direction/development of subordinates and interaction with external contacts.
o effective listening skills to address the concerns of both internal and external customers.
o appropriate business management skills and strong problem solving abilities are necessary.
Responsibilities: This position provides leadership and overall direction to the total quality program, ensuring that all internal quality standards and external regulatory standards are maintained at the plants, co-packer production facilities, vendors, and external storage locations. Provides support, coaching, and training to all employees in all aspects of the Company total quality program. Active and integral member of plant senior management team. Drives product quality continuous improvement efforts. Specific areas of responsibility include:
o Leadership of QA staff and coaching of plant personnel.
o Measurement - monitor quality indicators, manage Quality Achievement System.
o Regulatory - responsible as plant representative to outside governmental agencies.
o Audit - conduct internal and external audits as required at co-pack facilities, vendors, and storage locations as well as represent the company to customers and consultants to comply with their audit requirements of facility.
o Problem Solving - lead product incident problem solving and resolution. Identify root causes. Lead and guide all work to identify solutions to prevent further incident.
o Quality Systems - provide direction, support and communications to all employees in the facility regarding quality systems, guidelines and standards compliance. Act as primary interface with Corporate Quality.
o Sanitation - responsible for ensuring plant sanitation requirements are met.
