Our client is looking for a Site Energy Leader to lead site energy and sustainability strategy and execute projects that deliver improvements in energy usage and meet sustainability goals.

This is a full-time position paying $62,000-107,000 and offering a full benefits package including an incentive bonus, full medical/dental, 401K, tuition assistance, free health club, and professional advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities include:
Work with Global Energy Team to ensure site strategy is in line with Company sustainability targets. Retrieve and organize plant data to input into site energy footprint. Report metrics to site leaders and Global Energy Leader. Update site energy model/transfer functions to enable accurate forecasting for the site operating budget. Site point of contact for external energy rebate granting agencies (e.g. NYSERDA, local energy Supply Company) - 50%
Identify and execute energy usage improvement and sustainability projects, engineering studies, and plant trials to meet current year objectives as well as multi-year plans. Manage and implement process engineering deliverables for projects, ensuring sound safety and engineering principles are applied. - 40%
Provide technical support for advanced troubleshooting of plant issues and implement corrective actions. - 10%
This position requires expertise in Energy Management (including heat and mass balances) and Process Engineering. Engineering disciplines will include but are not limited to: reaction kinetics/chemistry, fluid flow including powder transfer, heat transfer, distillation, centrifugation and separation, solids handling and mixing, and polymer processing/compounding. Key interfaces include Global Energy Leader, Site manager, operations engineers and plant operators/technicians, project engineers, process control engineers, product development and R&D representatives, and maintenance/reliability engineers. In addition, there will be frequent interaction with site and business leaders. Individual will also interact with other sites around the globe to share best practices
The ideal candidate must have the following:
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering preferred. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Nuclear Engineering considered.
Minimum 10 years' experience in Chemical Manufacturing and/or an Extrusion Environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to collect, organize, and analyze large amounts of data
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
Demonstrated track record of teamwork
Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
Relocation to be paid by client.
