Senior Security Consultant
The Senior Security Consultant position is for an experienced security professional with demonstrated consulting experience who is able to deliver strategic security services and conduct comprehensive information security assessments for our clients. The Senior Security Consultant joins in the management, execution and delivery of planned project deliverables and milestones that assist clients in learning, understanding, and applying security practices, principles, and methodologies. The Senior Security Consultant continuously learns and expands his/her technical competence. The goal for every Vigilance Consultant is to make themselves and Vigilance indispensable to our clients through building relationships that help create and identify additional opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic information security and consulting services for enterprise clients.
Identify, scope, and deliver customer information security needs within the Vigilance services portfolio.
Development of proposals and statements of work, effectively translating customer requirements and proper scope into an engagement to meet those needs.
Translate business, industry, and regulatory requirements into information security objectives and associated tactical/strategic information security initiatives.
Identify sales opportunities during and after engagement; work with sales personnel to close business.
Participate in the development of Vigilance service portfolio and methodologies
Demonstrate the ability to multi-task, including completing client engagements and thought leadership activities.
Required Knowledge:

years experience in information security consulting, professional services consulting for end clients.
3
years experience in interfacing at multiple levels of client management and building relationships
2
years experience in supervising/managing and leading teams to success
Basic knowledge in security industry regulations/standards (PCI DSS, HIPAA) and compliance frameworks (ISO 27002, CobiT)
Consulting skills:
Ability to interface with clients, utilizing consulting and negotiating skills
Ability to undertake and complete tasks independently, meet schedules and delivery timelines, and to move swiftly from concepts and theory to action.
Team-oriented skills:
Ability to lead multiple project teams; give directions and ensure that tasks are executed consistently
Project Management skills:

years experience in managing projects and using project management skills
People: You can lead a team, give direction and ensure tasks are executed consistently.
Projects: You can demonstrate the ability to plan, execute and closeout multi-person projects
Communication:
Candidate must have demonstrated communication and presentation skills.
Written communication skills for use in preparing formal documentation, Statements of Work, proposals, white papers, and case studies
Verbal skills that include the ability to clearly articulate thoughts, be persuasive and to deliver presentation and training to all levels of management
English: Fluent

Technical Skills:

Years experience with Vulnerability Scanning Technologies (Nessus, Qualys, etc.)

Years experience with various security devices such at Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, etc.

Years experience with networking technologies - Switches, Routers, VLANs
Education, Training &
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in information technology related field or relevant experience
CISSP certification preferred
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
