Creative Foam has an outstanding opportunity at one of our facilities in Fenton, Michigan for a Plant Supervisor. This is a key leadership position, reporting to the Plant Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
Organize, direct and control the activities of all production employees in order to provide finished product to meet schedule, quality and cost requirements as directed.
Communicate all necessary information to the appropriate personnel and or departments.
Ensures material availability for daily production in accordance with the production schedule.
Assigns, trains, directs hourly associates in the correct production and safety procedures.
Ensures completion of finished product in the quantity and quality as prescribed in established standards and schedules.
Operates in accordance with the provisions of the union bargaining agreement.
Oversees daily operation, reviews work progress, material and tooling and standards changes.
Takes immediate action to prevent production loss, waste, spoilage, equipment and tooling damage or safety hazards as necessary.
Assists in developing and recommending means of improving quantity and quality of operations.
Promotes company's safety efforts and maintains a safe working environment. Completes accidents reports for all accidents
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years Supervisory experience in an automotive environment.
Knowledge production standard and strong machinery operation and or maintenance.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to work with people and demonstrated leadership skill and decision making ability.
Ability to work any shift.
