The Port Arthur Site operates both a world scale steam cracker and butadiene extraction unit. The site also operates a pyrolysis gasoline unit, an indirect alkylation unit, an olefins conversion unit as well as a significant utility support system. One of the world's largest naphtha steam crackers with a joint venture partnership that includes Company Corporation and Total Petrochemicals & Refining USA Inc. It is located 15 miles east of Beaumont and Interstate 10 and 95 miles east of Houston. This facility employees over 200 employees and we continue to grow.

This position is discipline-specific and is long-term and strategic focused. It is responsible to drive reliability performance using the most appropriate and effective tools and techniques. This position provides technical support to Production and Maintenance personnel and leads or participates in Root Cause Failure Analyses and monitors KPI data for early identification and resolution of reliability issues.


This position is responsible for, but not limited to:
Develops power distribution, transmission, and control system estimates, scope of work, and engineering and design for major capital projects involving modification of existing plants or new facilities. Acts as project manager for electrical power related capital or maintenance projects.
Reviews, performs, and approves designs, installations, and modifications to new and existing facilities while ensuring compliance with national and site specifications and standards.
Act as liaison with Operations, Engineering, Environmental, and Maintenance regarding major plant additions and modifications. Assist in design where expertise is needed to assure quality installations. Provides assistance in the installation of major modifications through construction management.
Provide direct assistance in the troubleshooting of all power and electrical system problems. Works as part of a team of technicians and engineers to correct plant problems and implement maintenance activities in a safe and efficient way while providing technical training for his/her associates.
Participates in accident/incident investigations to discover root cause of problems and implements corrective actions to prevent similar situations from occurring in the future.
Assists in the training of high voltage electricians in power generation/transmission/distribution and electrical substation subjects.
Maintains liaison with other groups and disciplines within the engineering discipline, plant operating personnel, and contract employees.
Provides engineering design and documentation related to appropriation development and approval. After budgets are approved insure spending remains within the targeted range.
Apply appropriate reliability tools to drive improvements, optimize costs, and improve AE (i.e., Bad Actor Program, FMEA, RBI, RBM, RCM, Reliability Roadmap, etc.).
Responsible for development of Critical Equipment list and Critical Spares Inventory. This includes monitoring and optimizing the stores system considering site-wide needs.
Lead the Bad Actor Program and create action plans for improving reliability in coordination with Asset Management.
Research and communicate new technologies and maintenance practices to improve asset availability and optimize costs.
Provides technical leadership and oversight to non-control system I & E services.
In order to qualify for this role, the following is required:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
8 or more years technical experience in refining, petrochemical or chemical industry.
5 or more years of experienced in the specification, application, troubleshooting and maintenance of power generation and distribution systems.
5 or more years of experienced in the specification, application, troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical circuit breakers, motor control systems, electric motors, cabling, transformers, uninterruptible power systems, and ground fault protection systems.
Solid working knowledge of chemical plant equipment and technologies.
Strong technical skills to identify and resolve problems with engineering, installation and test results.
Incumbent must be self-initiating and function effectively within a team environment.
Extensive computer skills and knowledge.
Preferred:
Solid working knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)

Primary Location: US-TX-Port Arthur
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
