The Director of Hospitality Business Development is responsible for seeking out new business opportunities for organizations within the hotel segment. They develop, coordinate and implement marketing plans designed to maintain and increase existing business and capture new opportunities. This position has a strong focus on obtaining business opportunities in the domestic and international hotel industry. Heavy sales, marketing and direct face to face negotiating skills are required. Duties and Responsibilities Strategic marketing and operations planning with top executives, setting objectives and methods to reach them. Be aware of organizational growth initiatives regarding market and target customer segments, and the company's potential to meet customer needs with product or services. Developing proposals in response to requests for proposals. Once new business has been won, the business development team works with other department heads and staff to coordinate account start-up and transition service or product delivery. Delivering sales presentations and participating in meetings with clients and external vendors or advisers. Key Expectations Director of Hotel Business Development will work closely with the management team to develop a hotel based marketing strategy introducing our service to the client. Knowledge to the hotel and hospitality segment is crucial together with a sales background in a highly accountable culture. Qualifications and requirements 2
years of senior level business development experience 1
years establishing and maintaining business within the hotel industry. Strong working knowledge of the hotel industry, sales, marketing and client networking. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to integrate marketing, operations and financial knowledge to achieve organizational goals.
