Assistant Nurse Manager
The Assistant Nurse Manager practices as a registered nurse under the Mental Health Service Line.
The Assistant Nurse Manager(ANM) maintains the competency of a staff nurse while accepting selected delegations from the Nurse Manager(NM).
The ANM is the direct supervisor of a select group of nursing staff from the Psychosocial Residential Rehabilitation Program (PRRTP), Mental Health Clinic (MHC), Mental Health Intensive Case Management (MHICM) and Translating Initiatives for Depression into Effective Solutions (TIDES).
The ANM may be assigned to provide nursing care and in that capacity, will direct the completion of the initial and ongoing assessment.
The ANM collaborates with members of the interdisciplinary treatment team and ancillary services to plan and implement the patient's plan of care.
The ANM will assist in the implementation of programs and services as assigned by the NM.
The ANM analyzes and upgrades patient care through performance improvement activities; is accountable for ensuring assigned staff adhere to established policies and procedures and serves as Acting NM in the absence of the NM; maintains own clinical skills and develops and maintains administrative competency.
Assists others through continuous study, in-services and participation in obtaining continuing education.
