SGF is looking for a Material Handler (ONE MONTH CONTRACT) supporting a large distribution company in Frostproof FL:
Complete tasks in an efficient manner to provide a steady flow of material to functional areas. Load or unload product on ship conveyor as required. Stage pallets and containers in work areas in an orderly manner. Deliver packaging materials to work areas as needed. Load or unload trailers. Operate powered industrial equipment according to Raymond Safe Operating Guidelines, Forklift Safety Training, and FEI Safety Policies Select, secure, transport, and store product safely using quality pallets and containers Ensure pedestrian safety by maintaining a safe rate of speed in all areas while operating equipment. Maintain clearance of equipment to avoid impacts and damage to product or property Coordinate task completion with lead and other associates as needed Inspect and maintain all forklift and RF equipment in functional condition. Execute tasks utilizing hand-held or truck mounted RF units scanners. Follow all established SOP procedures for given task areas. Work closely with supervisor and lead to resolve any task concerns that arise. Maintain inventory integrity and product safety at all times. Maintain supplies in an organized manner. Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed. Perform routine and assigned housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe work environment. Communicate with associates and display teamwork in completing task assignments. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring quality customer service. Abide by all company policies, rules, and regulations. Abide by all company safety rules, regulations, and procedures. Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives. Work overtime as needed
7:30am to 5:00pm
The following personal protective equipment is required: steel toed boots/shoes, cut resistant gloves. The dress code: denim shorts or pants (blue) free from rips or holes, t shirt--no offensive graphics or words--also free from rips or holes. No tank tops are allowed. Must present government issued photo ID--cannot be expired Work starts promptly at 7:30amEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
