The Baldwin County Humane Society (BARC) is conducting a search for the position of Executive Director.
This is a full time position at our new facility in Fairhope, AL.
The Executive Director will be The Face of the Organization at the most exciting time in the 36- year history of Baldwin County's first and only county-wide animal welfare agency. BARC recently moved to a new location with onsite kennels for both dogs and cats as well as onsite adoption events.
The two most important duties of the Executive Director position are marketing/public relations and fundraising. Bringing awareness to the mission, events, services and successes of BARC through marketing (both traditional and social), public relations and advertising is a key component to this position. Successful grant writing is another vital aspect to the position of Executive Director. A College Degree is required.
An ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
o Deep concern for the humane treatment of animals
o Ability to provide the BARC Board of Directors with a vision and plan for the immediate future, as well as a long range vision on how to execute deliverables for the sustained growth of BARC
o Ability to create a marketing campaign that brings BARC to the community
o Ability to write successful grant applications and reach grant milestones established by the Board of Directors
o Ability to create and execute ambitious fundraising programs
o Capability of creating personal connections with donors and potential donors to both increase funding for BARC! as well as to constantly be aware of potential new funding opportunities.
o Ability to establish close relationships with local media to solidify the Executive Director's position in the community as the Face of the Organization
o Possess excellent interpersonal skills with ability to manage a diverse team of employees, volunteers and work with Kennel and Adoption teams in addition to all other employees and volunteers.
o Excellent written and oral communications skills
o Be highly self-motivated, energetic and passionate about our mission
o Proficiency in MS Office software and Social Media
o Ability to work a flexible schedule including some weekends, evenings, and holidays
o Current valid Alabama driver's license and appropriate vehicle insurance.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
