Process Engineer
Basic Function Support and improve production processes for new and existing products to drive the attainment of quality, cost and delivery objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Marginal position functions that are not included among the essential duties and responsibilities in this position description are also requirements of this position.
1.
Responsible for the development of processes and process instructions by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
2.
Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
3.
Design and implement new manufacturing methodologies for material handling, machining, assembly, etc.
4.
Conduct feasibility studies of processes to determine manufacturing integrity.
5.
Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow.
6.
Interface daily with in-house and customer engineering teams to identify/resolve problems and implement solutions to stabilize product.
7.
Introduce products into the production areas and follow products through the entire process.
8.
Partner with customer engineers to review, communicate and implement engineering change orders and sustain products with cost reduction and yield improvements.
9.
Provide guidance to technicians or others within the department.
10.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
11.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience o BS Engineering or equivalent work experience.
o 2
years manufacturing, engineering or related work experience required.
o Advanced knowledge of related manufacturing operations.
o Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
o Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
