Mechanical Engineer- Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
o Review purchase order against accepted proposal in order to determine feasibility of awarded project.
o Review proposal against specifications to determine project deviations.
o Review P&ID prepared by estimator during proposal phase of project.
Make changes (in AutoCad) as required in order to provide custom solution.
o Prepare sequence of operations for system.
o Select mechanical equipment (chillers, boilers, heat exchanger, pumps, cooling tower, etc.
) piping and instrumentation in order to perform sequence of operation in accordance with P&ID.
o Prepare bill of materials.
o Prepare general arrangement drawing using AutoCad LT (2D) or SolidWorks.
o Prepare mechanical submittal package.
o Coordinate with controls engineering group in order to integrate electrical engineering needs with mechanical design.
o Submit complete submittal package to customer.
o Review and implement changes requested by customer.
(Determine if requested changes are accordance with proposal/budget.
) o Prepare fabrication release for in house fabrication.
o Order highly engineered components.
o Work with shop lead personnel during the fabrication process.
o Participate in functionally tests (where required) o Occasional troubleshooting site visits.
Education/ Experience Reqirements:
o Mechanical Engineering degree or associate's degree.
o Minimum five years of mechanical engineering experience.
Computer Skills Requirements:
o AutoCad o Solidworks o MS OfficeSkill Requirements:
o Self-motivated o Organized o Disciplined o Ability to effectively communicate with engineers (in house and specifying engineers), electricians, skilled trade people, laborers, end users, sales representatives, vendors o Ability to effectively manage all aspects of project.
o Manage cost aspects of projects.
o Ability to diffuse heated situations with clients, owners, ends user, etc.
