Family Nurse Practitioner - Physician Assistant

Our firm is in search of a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant qualified to do full primary care with acute episodic care, preventative medicine and chronic disease management in a rural Nevada town near the half-way point between Salt Lake City and San Francisco along Interstate 80 . Closest major airport is Reno/Tahoe international airport. Low cost of living. This opportunity is with a major corporation. The work setting is a corporate clinic. Some Occupational medicine. Sees on average of 15-20 patients a day. We see ages newborns and up, so wellbaby and wellwoman checks. We refer out to local specialists when needed. See about 3 patients per hour to remain productive. Performs minor procedures, sports physicals, immunizations, well child exams, lab, phlebotomy, wellness coaches, diabetic counseling by dietician. Do NOT do OB. Do PAPS. Do suturing with lacerations. Minor procedures. There are currently 2 MDs and 1 PA on site.
Hours of operation are 8am-8pm, Monday-Friday and 9am-12pm on Saturdays. Work week would be a 40 hour week. We are specifically looking for someone to work M-F 8am to 5pm. NO Call and NO Holidays.

Job requirements - Master's degree (MSN) required. Previous experience in family practice or urgent care setting. Minimum of 1-2 years. Nationally Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state or jurisdiction of practice National Certification with NCCPA. DEA required. Current BLS certification, ACLS a plus but not required. Appropriate certification to write prescriptions under the authority of the Medical Leader, if allowed within state of practice. Previous experience with an EMR software.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
