Materials Handler
This position is located in the Storage and Distribution Section of the Logistics Service Line, but the incumbent's duties and responsibilities are of necessity through all clinics, patient care areas of the medical center and satellite stations.
As a Materials Handler, the incumbent performs a variety of clerical duties involved in the verification, correction, and preparation of receiving documents, tallies, reports, and other material.
Performs a variety of assignments in the receiving, storage, issue, care and preservation, packaging, shipment of equipment, repair parts, and subsistence materials for both incoming and outgoing shipments.
Although primarily assigned to one of three major warehousing functions, periodically the incumbent will be required to perform duties in the other major functional areas and therefore is required to be knowledgeable in all areas of warehousing activities.
