Supervising the daily activities of the workforce in a liquid food processing facility;
Ensuring that equipment and machinery are sanitary, calibrated and functioning properly;
Assigning work or moving employees during the shift to ensure efficiency;
Auditing individual measurements of productivity;
Training employees on work methods and standard operating procedures;
Working with Food Safety and Quality technicians on all quality checks;
Enforcing safety programs;
Assisting the Manager in developing work schedules;
Assisting Maintenance with the PM program to decrease downtime;
Recommending improvements to processing methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
EDUCATION:
Minimum requirement:
2-year degree.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
3
years of experience in food processing and sanitation or similar industries;
Production management practices, throughput and other measurements of production;
Time study methods, basic industrial engineering concepts;
Employment law, OSHA regulations;
Strong communication and problem solving skills;
Spanish speaking is a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
