As a Senior Developer, the candidate will have the following
Responsibilities:
Database queries, tuning, stored procedure creation, and views
Experience developing in core JAVA
Experience in Data analysis / data specialization and gathering user requirements
Prior experience in Investment banking.
Working with reporting / data mining tools like Splunk, Spotfire/Composite, Business Objects and Tableau
Work with US and Asia counterparts to implement a global strategy for data warehouse
Pro-actively improve the quality of systems and service, and increase business value
Person Requirements
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Management or related discipline or equivalent experience

years development experience within the financial services industry.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Very strong and confident communicator in both verbal and written communications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, should be able to multitask and switch gears quickly
Ability to understand the business context of requirements and apply to the task in hand.
Ability to work under pressure to deliver to committed timescales.
Exemplary team player.
A good understanding of the investment banking business will be an advantage.
Good understanding of best code development and deployment practices.
Preferred Technologies
J2EE - design and develop using Java Server stack.
Proficient with of object relational mapping tools such as Hibernate.
Database design and develop using SQL Server 2005/2008
Working knowledge of core JAVA
Unix batch scripting
Business Objects Report (SAP BO)
Perl, a plus
Spotfire, a plus
JUnit - able to follow continuous integration, test driven development approach using JUnit and Cruise Control
Ant/Maven - able to develop and run build scripts using Ant. Maven would be an advantage.
Packaging and Managing release process for entitlements.
Linux - Create and maintain shell scripts.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
