Responsibilities:
Prototype, design, and debug of electronic systems and PC boards for medical, consumer, and industrial devices using electrical engineering first principles
Utilize electrical CAD tools to perform schematic capture, simulation, and board layout
Develop design specifications and detailed documentation
Perform design failure mode and effects analysis
Conduct design verification through testing; may include test fixture design
Support R&D to manufacturing transition
Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 1-3 years' experience
Experience designing PC boards containing microcontrollers and digital & analog circuits
Experience with electrical CAD tools for schematic capture and PC board layout
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office
A strong desire to be part of an engineering team developing products that change people's lives
Desired Skills:
Experience with Mentor Graphics DxDesigner and PADS
Experience with medical device development
Experience with rechargeable smart batteries
Familiar with industry standards such as IEC 60601-1Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
