This company is a multi-disciplined consulting firm providing a wide range of civil & municipal engineering, land surveying, land planning, and site development and environmental services to clients throughout the Northeast. We are seeking an experienced Construction Inspector with a minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant professional experience. The Construction Inspector is responsible for construction observation and documentation on specific project site locations. This position is based out of our Poughkeepsie, New York office but travel to field locations on a regular basis is expected.
The position requires prior relevant work experience and knowledge of: development, utility lines, building components, SWPPP, soil testing and project management. Prior experience should be at NICET level 2 (or equivalent) in construction documentation, plans, take-offs, as-built reporting and wastewater. OSHA 10 Hour certification is preferred. Familiarity and experience with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook), APPIA, and AutoCad is also preferred. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and a demonstrated ability to positively interact with others (internal and external) at all levels is important. The Construction Inspector position may be offered as On-Call and/or Regular Full-Time, depending on current projects. Additionally, depending on the scope of the project that a Construction Inspector will be assigned to, there may be additional certification requirements to secure the position.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
