Industrial Plumber

BASIC FUNCTION:
Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
o Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angle, using hand and power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, and pipe-bending machines.
o Study building plans and inspect structures to assess material and equipment needs, to establish the sequence of pipe installations, and to plan installation around obstructions such as electrical wiring.
o Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, and fixtures in structures, using measuring instruments such as rulers and levels.
o Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
o Assemble pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment.
o Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, and fixtures such as sinks and toilets, using hand and power tools.
o Direct workers engaged in pipe cutting and preassembly and installation of plumbing systems and components.
o Cut openings in structures to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, using hand and power tools.
o Review blueprints and building codes and specifications to determine work details and procedures.
o Install and connect underground storm, sanitary and water piping systems and extend piping to connect fixtures and plumbing to these systems.
REPORTING
RELATIONSHIP: Project Superintendent / Project Manager
EDUCATION
REQUIRED: High School Diploma or Equivalent
EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED: 3-5 years. Superintendent of Water or Wastewater construction or renovation, previous experience in this construction field is preferred.
TRAINING NEEDS: As deemed necessary to enhance the position and/or to become more effective.
Responsible Party: Human Resources ManagerEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
