Cost Accountant/Analyst

Our client is looking for a Cost Accountant/Analyst to provide leadership with accurate and timely accounting and analysis for all products and processes.
Relocation expenses allocated for the right candidate.
Manufacturing background is a must.
Duties Include But Not Limited to:
Work closely with mill personnel to provide cost information support to the operating units
Compile cost information for monthly mill performance review meetings
Prepare inputs to financial forecasts
Prepare inputs to annual budget
Provide economic analysis for capital expenditures
Perform special cost analysis studies on an as needed basis
Responsible for the reconciliation and accuracy of balance sheet accounts
Identifies and promotes methods of cost reduction and cost control
Research, analyze, and report on production and spending variances
Participate in month-end closing process
Process owner for cost support to departmental leaders
Demonstrate team oriented behavior
Ensure internal controls are in place with ongoing validation
Additional
Responsibilities:
Three to seven years manufacturing accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other business related field
Advanced PC skills in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint)
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build and maintain credibility with peers, management and external contacts
Ability to handle a variety of projects simultaneously while ensuring the timelines are achieved
Skill in designing and preparing easily understood and relevant reports that customers can proactively utilize the manage the business or their department
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrate the ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly and effectively translate the learning into opportunities

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
