We are seeking a software developer to support our client, Teradata, in its offices in California's Silicon Valley.

Job responsibilities
Lead R testing effort for complex features which includes designing test scenarios, creating test plans, implementing, automating and executing test cases.
Develop automated tests for features which manage, distribute and monitor computation across large clusters.
Create and improve test frameworks to satisfy automation and reporting.
Interact with customers and Aster partners to simulate customer scenarios which help validate the product.
Identify and propose areas of improvement throughout the software development process.
Work effectively in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Required skills
Experience testing opensource R functions & R libraries.
Experience developing and working with R language programming.
Good to have experience developing predictive R statistical models for customer data analysis.
Developing and deploying R code in standalone or distributed environments.
Debugging an existing algorithm built on machine learning using R.
Ability to lead a small team of QA engineers focused on testing related set of features.
Passion for QA and knack for identifying tests that break code.
Strong grasp of operating systems concepts including filesystems, networks, and memory management
Good understanding of algorithms and advanced data structures.
Prior experience with using or testing databases. Must be able to demonstrate good understanding of database fundamentals and SQL Programming.
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with inter-disciplinary teams and management.
Motivated self-starter, with a high capacity for rapid learning and meticulous attention to detail with 5
years' experience in application development.
Education and experience
BS or MS degree in computer science or computer engineering
