HARDWARE ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (Contract) IN GEORGETOWN, TX
JOB DESCRIPTION
Local Luxury Aircraft Manufacture is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a 2 year contract. The company leads the industry in design, manufacturing and service. Experience:
Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for aircraft
Determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products
Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements
Develops functional testing criteria, maintenance and functional hazard assessment reports for all electrical system designs
Coordinates with customer contacts to determine project design requirements
Researches and selects materials and components to meet design requirements
Creates, organizes and releases complete drawing packages without assistance
Supports manufacturing or building of prototype product or systems
Confers with personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develops design
Determines feasibility of designing new or modifying existing equipment and/or products considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors
Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations which affect long range product engineering planning
Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
MPLAB 'C' is highly desirable but could be replaced with experience in other embedded ide's . It would also be an acceptable substitute if the candidate has significant experience with other embedded microprocessors that are not PIC based.
The percentage of time programming would depend on the skill set of the candidate
The candidate will be expected to help debug embedded systems that are based on control algorithms written in 'C'
They may not be programming a lot (depending on their skills) but they must have some familiarity with 'C' code so they can assist
Assist in design creation and reviews. Allegro or Cadence (or related, see below) experience would be considered.

Pay Rate: $25.00-$50.00/hour DOE

Monday-Friday some overtime maybe requested

Contract Length: 2 years
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
