Summary:
Perform maintenance & repair operations necessary to keep plant, equipment, machinery, & tools in good operating condition. Will work in diversified capacities required in maintenance. This position is a multi-craft maintenance position with a heavy focus on the Mechanical skill set. This position requires working in a hands-on industrial environment (including working in high heat or cold temperatures).

Responsibilities:
Work involves a wide range of methods & procedures on a variety of moderately complex work & routine duties requiring considerable care to adequately & properly diagnose, dismantle, repair, lubricate, reassemble or otherwise work on general maintenance in varied capacities of such occupations as pipefitter, machine repairer, plumber, millwright, welder, and burner.
Start, observe operate, or otherwise activate equipment to detect or verify malfunction or correction of same.
Use of variety of testing equipment to assist w/troubleshooting efforts.
Inspect, adjust, clean, or lubricate equipment as preventative maintenance.
Tear down, replace, repair, install, & assemble simple equipment parts, components, & accessories.
Assist higher skilled employees on more complicated work & work as part of a team on heavy work or large projects.
Adjust mechanisms & perform all other assignments as required & directed.
Observes & promotes all safety & 5S standards.
Maintain records, parts, & work orders.
When operating mobile equipment and/or overhead cranes, follow all prescribed safety guidelines & perform daily checks to ensue equipment is maintained & in proper working order.
Qualifications include:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required; Technical degree or certificate a plus.
One year experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment required.
Must be flexible to work 1st, 2nd, OR 3rd shift. This includes holidays, weekends, & occasional OT.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex gear boxes and brake assemblies commonly found on cranes.
Familiar with safety requirements for overhead cranes a plus.
Familiar w/the use of basic electrical test equipment (volt meter / megger).
Able to align motors and couplings.
Basic PC skills required; SAP a plus.
Able to read electrical schematics to assist in installation/troubleshooting.
Ability to read and troubleshoot hydraulic schematics a plus.
Troubleshooting & preventative maintenance on heavy equipment.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to successfully pass a written assessment including basic math, mechanical aptitude, and general industrial knowledge.
Must be able to successfully pass a hands-on practical test with senior leadership, demonstrating your abilities to perform the job successfully.
Some light duty welding/torching may be required.
