Engineering Manager
Thinkpath Engineering Services (TES) is recruiting for an Engineering Manager to fill a direct position with a client in Madison, IN.
The Engineering Manager manages activities related to engineering projects to define, develop and grow various technologies. Manages and coordinates the work of an Engineering staff, concentrating on assigned technologies or projects, with particular emphasis on the objective of developing and expanding corporate technical knowledge through process, material and electronic development, experimentation and documentation.
Qualifications
o Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited University, preferably in Materials, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
o Masters of Science in Engineering is a plus.
o Minimum 5 years leadership experience in a high technology environment.
o 10 years or more experience in the field of Lighting or LED's is preferred.
o Must understand basic gas/air, piping, electrical, mechanical and automation concepts.
o Manufacturing techniques, including, but not limited to high volume manufacturing, Automation, Molding, Plastics Assembly, Design For Manufacture and Lean Manufacturing
o Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) capabilities and limitations.
o Knowledge of all aspects of costing, including reasonable time standards associated with manufacturing of components and assemblies.
o Benchmark and disassembly techniques and failure analysis techniques.
o Familiar with Design and Analysis tools, including, but not limited to Design of Experiment (DOE), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Design for Manufacturability/Assembly (DFM/A), Total Quality Management (TQM), and similar product development techniques.
