Responsibilities:
JMN is seeking a seasoned Diesel Truck Mechanic certified in welding, to perform a variety of tasks on heavy-duty trucks, auto hauling trailers, two and four car roll backs units. Seeking an individual to inspect, diagnose and repair brake systems, engines, electrical components, steering systems, transmissions and tires correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments; keeping records. This position is comprised of 40% fabrication, 20% hydraulics and 40% Mechanic.
Physical strength, diagnostic skill, manual dexterity and the ability to work in noisy environments are key traits.
Diesel Technician Mechanic Job Duties:
oDetermines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
oCar hauler trailer repair; welding, fabrication, line replacement, valve banks and cylinder repair
oKeeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing winterization procedures.
oCorrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
oTest drive trucks before and after repairs
oVerifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
oComplies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
oMaintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
oMaintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
oKeeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
oContains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
oKeeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
oUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.
oEnhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Qualifications:
3-5 Years Experience
ASE Certified Master Truck Equipment Technician
Certified Welder
Tooling, Supply Management, Mechanical Inspection Tools, Technical Understanding, Attention to Detail, Dependability, Thoroughness, Verbal Communication, Documentation Skills, Inventory Control, Job KnowledgeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
