Position Summary and Expected Results: The Production Supervisor is responsible for production operations associated with running a department or departments in the Manufacturing Department to ensure an unmatched customer experience. This position, in partnership with an assigned Engineering counterpart, will primarily focus in the areas of safety, quality, production, and supervision through directing 20 - 40 production employees in the operation of a variety of machines and manual processes. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with 5 S principles, general housekeeping and participation in and leading continual improvement activities. Where necessary, this position has the latitude to reallocate tasks to ensure production targets are achieved. The Supervisor manages the supply budget for the assigned areas. Performance is measured by obtainment of production targets and adherence to Key Performance Indicators such as quality audit scores, schedule adherence, safety incidents and on-time and complete deliveries. This position is expected to maintain a hands-on, highly visible and positive presence on the shop floor, interacting with employees, troubleshooting problems and actively involved in the daily issues of assigned areas.

Essential Duties and
Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Safety
Responsible for safety in area of supervision and entire shop floor completing accident investigations within 48 hours.

Employee Relations & Supervision
Supervise, develop, and mentor team members to enhance the functioning of the team.
Maintain positive employee relations through fair and consistent application of Sunrise policies and procedures and using direct and proactive communication skills.
Supervise direct repots by providing coaching, feedback, reminders and mentoring as appropriate. Apply the company's corrective action process to monitor and improve performance, attendance, and conduct/behavior issues.
Effectively interact with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
Develop and evaluate Key Operators & Assistant Supervisors.
Prepare and communicate regular performance appraisals and development plans for assigned employees in conjunction with the company's standards
Take an active role in resolving and mediating employee conflict situations in a timely and appropriate manner, consulting with and referring such matters to Human Resources as appropriate.
Review and approve vacation slips, and completes other required paper work and administrative tasks
Delegate as appropriate to keep focused on the larger picture to achieve goals.
Recommend staffing levels and changes due to changes in the department
Participate in interviewing, selecting, orientating and training new staff members
Conduct regular meetings with team members, and use a variety of methods to educate team on company and department procedures, changes, new information, etc.

Quality
Inspect and measure parts and products to verify conformance to product specifications.
Set up and lead containment activities of defective material.
Direct workers to adjust machines and equipment to repair products that fail to meet standards.

4. Productivity
Delegate when appropriate to keep focused on the larger picture to achieve goals.
Achieve minutes/unit goals and schedule attainment by leading production activities.
Assign employees to stations based on Daily Production Schedule.
Recommend staffing levels and changes due to changes in requirements.

5. Processes/Procedures/Problem Solving
Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
Support Continuous Improvement and monitor 5S and housekeeping.
Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Plan flow of materials through department and develop physical layout of machines according to work orders.
Work with Engineering on prototype set up and runs.

Material
Compute amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area. Work with the Materials Department on routine inventories to ensure accurate stock levels.
Monitor scrap rates.

7. Administration
Maintain time and production records.
Input production numbers into database at end of shift.
Maintain and update QCDS board.
Review vacation request; approve or deny on timely basis.
Verify time sheets.
Write and copy shift notes for Production Manager.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand. Employees are required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; bend, turn and twist; push and pull. Visual acuity, speech and hearing must be within normal limits. The employee must be able to repetitively lift, push, and move up to 50 pounds unaided. 75 pounds or more must be lifted with assistance. The ability to climb a ladder or go up on a man-lift is required to access product inventory.

Work environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the average plant temperature conditions range from 60 degrees in the cooler months and up to 110 degrees during the warmer months. All work stations on the plant floor require the use of safety glasses. Some work stations require additional safety equipment to include but not limited to; hearing protectors, gloves, and arm guards.

Education & Experience Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in business, operations or other closely related field is required. In lieu of degree, equivalent knowledge gained through extensive leadership experience either as an Assistant Supervisor, Key Operator at Sunrise Windows, or equivalent work experience elsewhere, preferably in a production environment will be substituted at the company's discretion. The position requires a minimum of three years of production leadership experience supervising a large hourly workforce, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
