Manufacturing Engineer
Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for managing engineering projects and process development required to produce a machined component. He/she will receive instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions. Assistance will be provided on unusual problems, as needed. He/she must be able to perform experimentation, engineering calculations, design analysis, and routine tasks required by the project.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
Design of production machines, work holding, tooling and gauging equipment required to solve process problems and new process development. Coordinate planning of layout for production equipment. Interface with production managers to aid in solving routine production problems. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES WITHIN THE QUALITY SYSTEM
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities.
Identify and record problems.
Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to problems through channels.
Verify the implementation of solutions.
EDUCATION:
BS in Engineering
Experience:
Three years experience in related field preferred
SKILLS: General written and oral communication skills.
Basic computer skills required to use word processors, spreadsheets, and CAD. Fundamentals of gear production processes, nomenclature and inspection methods of gear geometry
$75-$85k yearly based on experience
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
