Provide highly visible customer support through diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and complex equipment and systems. Evaluate operational quality of system equipment. Serve as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. Interpret customers needs and clarifies specifications which includes aspect of field support for system hardware and software. Provide on-site automotive software and system engineering support and technical leadership for the assigned customer in automotive infotainment systems, collaborating in all program phases from initial concept to program end. Work with customer to write and release specifications (including those for software and systems). Provide specification clarification and definition to design team. Support customer events e.g. meetings, system verifications, cross checks, integration camps, etc. Work with customer and design team to perform and support in-vehicle, system and bench testing and software debugging. Maintain appropriate documentation to meet the specifications of the customer and company. Communicate customer program timing requirements and completion of program milestones to design team and management. Ensure that program steps comply with established customer program processes. Ensure the proper flow of engineering and customer information within company and between customer and company. Prepare reports and presentations as needed. Promote efforts to acquire additional business from the customer and supports the Development Process Innovation Management (DPIM) and RFQ process for new business. Work with customers to provide equipment as needed by company. Support dealer scrambles when necessary. Provide software and system support for products to the customer using automotive software architecture, coding, debugging and tools (e.g. ICE).
Domestic and international travel may be required.
Five (5) years of post-graduate progressive experience in the specialty field.
Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field of study.
