Job Description:
Promote pharmaceutical compounds sales through effective interaction with healthcare professionals and organizations to increase the awareness and use of the company's pharmaceutical offerings.
JOB DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
Maximizes revenue and market share in territory and achieves/exceeds sales targets.
Develops and maintains in-depth knowledge of the product, nature of insurance, formulas, market, third party payer plans, and customers.
Effectively gains access to offices to penetrate new and current accounts.
Analyzes the markets dynamics to ensure territory sales goals and expectations are met.
Develops and implements own territory business plan in line with company strategy and works within agreed and/or company budgets.
Appropriately utilizes all marketing tools and resources to enhance sales.
Establishes and manages high quality customer relationships by maintaining knowledge of brand sales messaging, executing planned programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Makes compelling and persuasive sales calls to designated customers resulting in sales.
Promotes sales ethically and in accordance with the companys sales process and marketing strategy.
Resolves customer issues by investigating the problem, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
Keeps management informed of issues and job status by submitting information via company approved system in a timely manner.
Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery, merchandising, etc.
Adheres to all company, industry, and government guidelines such as pharmacy's Code of Conduct and Ethics, HIPAA regulations, Fraud Waste and Abuse standards and other applicable regulations.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
1) Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.
2) Comprehensive understanding of the sale model of pharmaceutical companies.
3) Overall understanding and experience in promoting product and services to various healthcare providers.
4) Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA and Fraud Waste and Abuse standards
5) Comprehensive understanding of the various healthcare systems in OH.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
4 year degree from an accredited college in Business Development, Sales, Pharmaceutical or similar equivalent experience.
Minimum of 1 year in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare setting preferred.
Documented regional rankings in top 15% year over year.
Must have a valid state drivers license.
