Sr. PHP Developer
3 month Contract to Hire
Plano, TX
Required Development Style
Qualifications:
Experience working in an Agile environment
Capability & Experience to work in team, pair programming, and independently without constant management
Excellent communication skills, English skills a must
Excellent customer service attitude to other team members, other teams, internal and external points of contact
Experience in all parts of the development cycle (at least from a developer perspective): Planning, Scheduling, Development, Testing, Deployment, Support and Maintenance
Web Server Experience
Experience in building complex system.
Experience in all parts of a web solution: front end, back end, database/datastore

years of experience in building portal style sites
Experience in building command line systems/tools
Mentor capabilities to other team members
Required Technology
Experience:
Excellent HTML, CSS, Javascript skills
Excellent Web Development skills, specifically scripting languages such as PHP
PHP Experience
Model View Controller (MVC) design pattern experience
Object Relational Mapping (ORM) design pattern experience
Relational Database Management System (RDMS) experience
Front End Templating experience
Solid understanding and experience in Linux environments, with preference in Centos & Ubuntu
Experience in some web development frameworks and willingness to learn new frameworks
Experience in downloading, installing, and configuration of third party Linux-based software
Experience with issue trackers, schedulers, etc.
Preferred:
Understanding and experience in Git, Apache, Nginx
Experience/exposure to: Continuous Integration Platforms (such as Hudson), Server Automation (such as Puppet, Chef)
Solid knowledge and experience in developing dynamic web applications (particularly PHP)
Preferred 5
years of web development experience
Good knowledge about relational databases (MySQL or other open source database server)
Experience in development of WebServices (REST preferred)
Knowledge about implementing and using third party web libraries
Some form of QA experience (functional testing, unit testing, etc)
Experience/exposure to Test Drive Development (TDD) style development
Ability to write functional/unit testing, preferably for PHP
Experience in a PHP development framework (Symfony preferred)
Some experience in other languages preferred (Python, Perl, Bash, Java, C/C++, .Net)
HTML5 experience a plus
Jquery, Twitter Bootstrap (or equivalent) experience a plus
