Gerdau is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager for its North Vernon, Indiana facility.
Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, controlling and scheduling the maintenance of equipment, machines and the direct supervision, training and upgrading of the maintenance personnel. Oversees preventive and predictive maintenance programs, troubleshooting machinery malfunctions, and assists in the planning of equipment rearrangements. Maintain business system as it relates to GBS and Asset Reliability Process (ARP); work to improve overall scoring and improve equipment reliability. The Maintenance Manager is accountable for the mechanical and electrical maintenance of all equipment and the coordination of all in-plant construction activities of new plant equipment or modification to existing equipment. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, employee training, evaluation, promotion, and discipline; for determining work methods, change over procedures, work schedules and practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in related field; Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred
Six years in a maintenance leadership role within a manufacturing environment
Previous maintenance leadership experience within a steel manufacturing environment preferred
Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
