Position Summary
The Service Technician III position is an advanced technical position focused on advanced network systems, system servers, PC's, and gaming machine troubleshooting.
In addition, the Service Technician III will perform supervisor duties in the absence of the District Field Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
o Performs Repairs on gaming machines
o Performs Advanced troubleshooting of system networks
o Collaborates with VGT Network Management Center and Casinos to schedule server maintenance and other system related issues
o Helps with system Upgrades and Installs
o Gathers information for reporting and issue tracking
o Records Maintenance, Repair and Troubleshooting actions in approved reporting software
o Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills Required
The attributes listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
o Troubleshooting of pc's and an understanding of components within a gaming machine
o Advanced technical electronic and networking skills
o Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
o Ability to be flexible and resourceful in a high pressure and fast paced work environment
o Communication (Oral and Written)
o Interpersonal
o Planning and organizing
o Adaptability/flexibility
o Travel and occasional overnight stay
o Ability to work with minimal supervision
o Ability to take on call situations
o Ability to obtain gaming badges from Indian Tribes
o Pass a background, physical, and drug test
o Operate in a team environment working with other team members to complete tasks
Education, Training and Experience
o High School diploma or equivalent
o Trade school certification preferred
o Three to five years experience servicing servers, computers, and network systems
o One to two years Supervisor or Management experience
o Understanding of database and server client interactions.
