Delphix Corp. seeks Software Engineer, Quality Assurance in Menlo Park, CA.
Duties: Develop software test plans and test cases for all areas including, but not limited to operating systems, file systems, performance, application stack and user interface. Responsible for the automation of test cases, test infrastructure and test tools, as well as for reporting bugs and test case results using bug and test case management systems. Work with the development team to continuously improve the quality process. Communicate with developers, operations, release management and QA peers. Articulate and evaluate testing strategies to apply them in context. Mentor other QA engineers, create goals with milestones and deliverables, offer feedback and evaluate progress. Work with distributed systems including network applications, telecommunication networks, and parallel computation. Use expertise in scalable infrastructural framework design and development to perform the job duties.
Requirements: Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic/Electrical Engineering or related field plus years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience as Quality Assurance Software Engineer; Member of Technical Staff, Quality Assurance; or Quality Assurance Engineering related occupation.
Background or experience must include: File Systems testing; Testing and analyzing data platform performance; Software testing including testing, test automation and writing test plans; Operating systems including Solaris, Linux, and Windows; Scalable infrastructural framework design and development; Data Structures and Algorithms; Object oriented programming in Java, Python or C++; Cluster computing; and Scalability testing.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
