The Quality Control Engineering will work within our US Engineering team to help test our identity assurance solutions. The Quality Control Engineer must have extensive experience in mobile and enterprise middleware application testing, be proficient in SOAP and REST based web services, and be capable of installing, configuring, and troubleshoot a variety of applications on a Windows and Linux platform. Responsibilities will include test script creation, application testing on devices such as iPhone, iPad, and Android, installation testing, middleware testing, interface testing, documentation creation, and documentation review.

Role
Responsibilities:
Deliver on assigned planning, testing, and documentation tasks;
Work closely with a team to understand requirements and technology to ensure functional requirements are met by a delivered solution;
Apply quality control best practices to our Engineering organization;
Strive to improve quality across installation, documentation, and application use;
Escalate issues to management team.
Person Specification:
The drive to deliver quality products in a timely manner;
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team;
Flexible nature willing to work on different capabilities and learn new technologies;
The ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with colleagues across a range of teams and departments.
Qualifications:
5 years QC and/or Engineering experience;
B.S. in CS/Engineering or equivalent preferred;
Strong knowledge and experience with SoapUI and understanding of SOAP and REST web services;
An understanding of the installation and configuration of Oracle 10g & 11g and Microsoft SQL server 2008 and a good understanding of SQL;
A good understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of applications;
Experience with testing applications in different web-browsers, particularly IE, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.
Experience operating smartphones, including iPhone and Android;
The ability to develop test and integration applications using the Java stack.
