Understand aspects of the customer facing operational systems that support delivery of our Table Stakes. These systems include, but are not limited to the following: APAL system, store team resume and key personnel, pricing tiers, daily schedules and commercial hours of operation, commercial credit and processing of commercial account paperwork. Computer proficiency required, including data entry. Candidate must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, sales increases and gross profit percent. Ability to define problems, collect and analyze information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Excellent problem solving ability. Proven sales track record. Possess working knowledge of Company products and services and the ability to present those products and services to meet customer needs. Ability to effectively communicate customer issues and gain win-win commitment for resolution. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers in a variety of settings ranging from one on one interaction to group presentations. Ability to interpret Company Policy and apply to a variety of situations, while maintaining consistency throughout assigned accounts.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, three to five years related selling experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Possess a working knowledge of automotive systems and traditional automotive aftermarket.
ASE certification preferred. CDL license and HAZMAT endorsement also preferred. Must possess a valid drivers license and meet the companys MVR requirements.
Major Responsibilities
Works directly with independent store owners/operators and joint-venture store managers to implement tools &
equipment sales and leasing programs.
Provides technical data on CARQUEST stocked equipment or through sourcing with vendors to meet the
customer's needs.
Assists the CARQUEST store in achievement of annual tools & equipment sales plan.
Assists in the development of the annual store tools & equipment business plan and implements plans at the
store level.
Works with store owners on the benefits of implementing tools & equipment sales programs.
Communicates CARQUEST tools & equipment sales promotions and programs to assigned territory store
managers, sales representatives and independent store owners/operators.
Plans and participates in store tool & equipment events, such as farm days, open house, etc, and coordinates
participation with tools & equipment manufacturer representatives.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
