Overview:
Perform all shipping & receiving functions to insure a smooth flow in the process of receiving inbound materials and processing of orders that are being shipped out.
The employee in this position receives general supervision from Team Leader - Traffic in Bethany plant and from Lead Man - Traffic in all other Plants.
Essential Job Functions &
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for receiving raw materials, containers, supplies and returned goods in accordance with Department Work Instructions including, but not limited to:
a) help to unload trucks
b) Palletize material as required
c) Verify count of units received
d) Sign trucker's paperwork when unloading completed and all materials verified as being received.
e) Fill out LATICRETE Receiving paperwork and enter into computer system.
f) Store all materials in proper warehouse, production or office locations by bin locations.
2. Responsible for shipping all materials in accordance with Department Work Instructions including, but not limited to:
a) Insure correct products are pulled from stock.
b) Containers in proper condition for shipping.
c) Labels and stenciled information are neat and legible.
d) Palletize orders as required.
e) Insure packing slip is made out properly and attached to order.
f) Help load materials into trucks.
g) Sign trucker's paperwork when loading completed and all materials verified as being shipped.
h) Complete all shipping paperwork and enter shipment information into computer.
3. Operate tow motor to transport materials throughout the production and warehouse area safely.
4. Recognize and properly distinguish between raw materials, containers and packages, and finished goods handled in his area.
5. Responsible for good housekeeping in the warehouse.
6. Complies with all OSHA regulations, Hazardous Material regulations, company safety policies & procedures.
7. Physical ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds frequently.
8. Must be able to work in hot and/or cold weather conditions in open warehouse area.
Job Specifications/Skills:
1. Minimum of six (6) months shipping and warehouse experience.
2. Have a tow motor license.
3. Good interpersonal skills.
4. Self starter
5. Basic computer software knowledge.
6. Team cooperation - maintain positive, cooperative attitude with all employees of LATICRETE and all customers.
7. High School diploma or equivalency certificate.
8. 5% travel
Nonessential Job Functions:
1. Performs other directly related appropriate duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives.
