## Job Summary
The Assistant Professor position in Political Science is a full-time, tenure track position and is responsible for teaching courses in International Relations/Comparative Politics with a focus on Russia and the post-Soviet space at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; contributing to the general studies curriculum (American National Government and World Politics); teaching a load that is predominantly online via eTroy but with some courses taught at the Troy, AL campus; participation on university committees; advising students; and assisting student organizations.
## Minimum Qualifications
1. PhD in Political Science with emphasis in International Relations and/or Comparative Politics
2. Evidence of scholarly activity including participation in professional organizations and conference presentations
## Preferred Qualifications
1. Demonstrated research and publication record
2. Ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: Russian Politics, Post-Soviet Politics, and American Foreign Policy.
