Employee Relations Associates is partnering exclusively with our client, one of the leading corrugated packaging companies in New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania, in search of experienced sales professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organization that is well-positioned for growth.
Our clientmanufactures and distributes Corrugated Packaging, Consumer Point of Purchase displays and packaging supply items. Their customers include many well-known local companies, as well as Fortune 100 companies.
ER Associates is recruiting for 3 positions: one in the Rochester area, one in the Utica/Syracuse area and one in the Albany/Binghamton area.
Please note that the products that are being represented by the Sales Account Manager are manufactured by our client. Additionally, the Sales Account Manager would be representing the distribution of other non corrugated products. This position is not a sales position representing a distributor model whereby other manufacturing products could be included.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers, supervisors/managers, and customer service representatives.
Responsible for adhering to and maintaining all ISO 9001 procedures and requirements of the Sales function and department. This includes active participation in the internal and external audits for the Regional plants, when necessary.
Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, and other sources.
Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders and/or communicate with customers by phone.
Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features.
Provides quotations to customers and prospects based upon pricing and credit terms provided by the sales manager and/or general manager.
Asks appropriate questions of customer regarding date of delivery, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
Responsible for resolving disposition issues that result due to aged inventory by following established procedure.
Responsible for resolving disposition issued that result due to past due invoices (DSO) by following established procedure.
Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps records of own expense accounts. All expense accounts are due to the sales manager each week on Monday.
Perform any other functions as assigned by higher management.
QUALIFICATIONS


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word. As well as being comfortable with technology such as IPad's and IPhone's.
Manufacturing experience preferred. But, distribution experience will be required. Experience in packaging would be a plus.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree (A.A.S.) from two-year college or technical school; 6-12months relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales reports, sales and design instructions, cost estimates, Company forms and procedure documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to develop budgets. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
