We are looking for a JavaScript / ASP.NET Developer
6 month Contract to hire $90,000 - $95,000 ($100,000) depending on experience
This individual works independently and with other members of the Online Software Development team, with primary responsibility to design, develop and enhance components of Internet and Extranet sites, extensively focused on delivering customer-facing capabilities.
Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of software development life cycle and experience in agile development methodology.
Required:
6
years' experience in IT including 4
years' experience of web development using ASP.NET and ASP
In depth experience of creating dynamic front-end GUI using major JavaScript Frameworks (jQuery, ExtJS, Prototype, Angular, etc.)
3
years' experience with SQL and T-SQL
Experience with object-oriented design and programming techniques
Possess creative problem solving skills
Excellent team work skills with an ability to get the work done with minimal supervision
Understanding of large scale, multi-tier web application architecture
Working knowledge of ASP.NET & IIS
Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science or applicable field
Responsibilities:
This role is a demanding, highly dynamic and technically challenging position. A candidate must be experienced in all stages of the software development life cycle Requirements gathering, Design, Development, Construction and Implementation. Candidate must be skilled in n-tier web application development. The candidate must also have excellent people skills and be resourceful in order to manage the software development process. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Enhancement and maintenance of existing and new web applications.
Technical Design, Coding, and Unit Test of web applications in accordance with business requirements and technical standards.
Design and Development of reusable components for web application.
Participation in functional specifications, prototyping, and estimation for web development projects.
Participate in the development of detailed design specifications for use by the technical team.
Participation in evaluation and prototype of new technologies, coding practices or third-party technology for use in web application.
Work with business teams to clarify requirements and business needs.
