Qualifications:
1.High School Diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
2.Three years of experience as a Heat Treat maintenance technician performing mechanical troubleshooting and repairing components in an industrial Heat Treat setting, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
Qualifications:
1.Associates Degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Mechanical, or Industrial Electrical.
2.Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing facility mechanical systems such as gas generation systems, industrial shearing systems, and conveyors, to OEM specifications.
3.Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, supply and exhaust fans, power transmission components, cranes and hoists, harpoon systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, etc.
4.Experience troubleshooting, repairing and working safely with 480v 3 phase electrical components.
5.Basic understanding of PLC s and ladder logic.
6.Experience with VFD troubleshooting.
7.Experience maintaining basic plumbing needs.
8.Experience safely operating forklifts and/or aerial lifts.
to maintaining a safe work environment, including applying proper safety practices and following procedures while performing maintenance tasks.
10.Experience working in a CMMS environment.

Job Description: URS, an AECOM company, is seeking Heat Treat Mechanical Maintenance Technicians in East Peoria, IL! A variety of work schedules is available, including 8-hour and 12-hour shifts. This mechanical process technician is responsible for providing an intermediate level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on industrial Heat Treat equipment, fixtures and systems in an industrial production environment.
This is a Heat Treat maintenance position that may assist specialized technicians with any Heat Treat related repairs and requires the ability to understand and work safely around 480v 3-phase electrical power circuits. Must have the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems in a Heat Treat environment.
Perform all aspects of preventive and corrective maintenance on Heat treat-related systems including, but not limited to: furnaces, quenching equipment, robotic systems, conveyors, and ventilation equipment. Provide instruction and assistance to other technicians as needed.
The Heat Treat Mechanical Maintenance Technician III must have the ability to identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoots and repairs Heat Treat equipment, quenching systems, robotic systems, and conveyor systems.
Troubleshoots and repairs pumps, piping, hoses, seals, valves, bearings and gearboxes.
Safely operates fork lift equipment, aerial lifts, mobile crane equipment, hoists and cranes.
Performs basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards.
Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
Understands company policies and enforces safety regulations.
Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required.
Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions.
Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.
Maintains a strict schedule in order to be successful in the assignment, yet demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer.
Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
