Minimum Requirements: Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Position requires successful completion of JT-101, LINK 16 Joint Interoperability Course. Successful completion of JT-102, MULTI-TDL Advance Joint Interoperability Course. Successful completion of JT-201, Multi-TDL Planners Course. Attends appropriate continuing education classes to maintain currency and up-to-date system knowledge base. Possess four years experience in the following areas:
Installation and maintenance of computer systems and network servers;
network interfaces and associated equipment;
digital/analog signal processing;
TCP/IP, hubs, routers, bridges and firewalls, and UNIX administration.
Three years experience in tactical data and information links in the past 5 years. Three years experience in joint/naval strike and air warfare training or large-scale exercise and training support. Possess multiple Tactical Data Link experience (Link-16.). Possess a valid state issued driver s license. Qualify for and maintain a government Security clearance.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in technical report writing. Bachelor s/Master s degree. Successful completion of JT-301 Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) Course. Possess operational Tactical Data Link (TDL) experience on a flag/joint level command staff. Hold an active Secret/TS SBI government security clearance.
Job Description: Essential Duties/Tasks: Proactively communicates with individual squadrons to ensure link connectivity in every flight and troubleshoot as required during training evolutions.
Through Contract Site Managers, coordinates with and trains designated range personnel in the daily operation of Tactical Data Link (TDL) equipment.
Coordinates TDL settings with all training network participants.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all questions related to operational and interoperability issues.
Continuously coordinates with external TDL agencies, including training and testing facilities, to ensure the TDL architecture is equipped with the most current software, hardware, and system capabilities.
Recommends modifications and upgrades to increase interoperability with joint and combined forces.
Supports TDL design in validated operational requirements to include cost analysis, optimization studies, engineering studies, integration, and installation.
Works with the CTTR engineering department for capability improvements and with configuration management to maintain and document TDL baselines.
Additional
Responsibilities: Fill the position of Mission Coordinator as required. Coordinates all mission support from mission scenario development, to live operational support, to post-mission debrief and evaluation.
Supports planning and coordination for agencies participating in or supporting training operations on the range complex.
Coordinates with range scheduling for Tactical Combat Training Systems (TCTS)/EW asset requirements.
Coordinates employment of actual EW threat systems and operates unmanned EW threat systems.
Supports users and support groups in conducting live missions, which includes assistance with developing training scenarios, coordination of fleet exercises, coordinating integrated air defense system functions and their implementation.
Compiles a daily after-action mission summary of training assets scheduled and used with explanations of deviations.
