The role is open due to a promotion so there is career progression with the position. They are targeting 5-8 years of experience but they can stretch on that if necessary. Comp can go up to $100K (may stretch) plus a 10% bonus. They are looking for local candidates, no relo. Reports to the Director of FP&A with a dotted line to the VP of Finance. This role offers high visibility. The company has been around for over 90 years and they have been profitable in every one of those years, they are not going anywhere.
Must haves: 1. MBA or CPA 2. Come out of a finance function (will not look at accountants)

SUMMARY
This individual provides business and financial support for the Global Business units that enhance decision-making and results in the achievement of short and long-term financial objectives. Proactive business partnership with the Global business units to maximize sales, profitability and return on assets is a key expectation for this position. This individual is responsible for ensuring integrity of all financial reports, and to uphold and support sound business, legal and ethical practices. The geographical area served in this capacity is North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America. In addition, this individual provides direct financial support, oversight and partnership for the Asia Pacific region. Proactive and strategic business partnering with the Asia Pacific country managers, financial controllers and other key associates is a requirement in order to ensure planning processes are completed effectively, complex subject matters are resolved and financial objectives are achieved.
RESPONSIBILTIES
Conduct value-added, proactive financial analysis and support special projects. This would include analyzing operating results and recommending appropriate improvement actions as well as leading process and profitability improvement projects, business model evaluations and other value add projects such as the Global Finance Conference. (30%)
Manage all aspects of the annual planning cycle, including the midyear, annual and strategic planning processes within Global Business Units. (25%)
Perform direct financial oversight duties specifically for the Asia Pacific region. This includes reviewing and analyzing the monthly financial results for the Asia Pacific region and ensuring compliance with GAAP and management reporting requirements; preparing SOPC reporting requirements and analyses; providing guidance during the midyear, annual and strategic planning processes; providing financial guidance and support to ensure policies and procedures are developed and maintained locally, and financial and business systems are functioning properly; ensuring financial controls are in place and are effective; ensuring the integrity of all local financial reports for statutory and management reporting; researching market and customer needs throughout the business partnership process; conducting value-added, proactive financial analysis for Asia Pacific and resolving key issues and problems that the Asia Pacific region is facing through sound and strong partnership and deep analysis. (20%)
Prepare and coordinate the monthly management reports, bimonthly Operating Committee presentations, and the annual reports to the Board of Directors and the shareholders. (15%)
Other projects and duties as assigned by management. (10%)

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
