Overview:
This position will be responsible for evaluating and creating cutting edge software and distributed computing infrastructure while undertaking and supervising vehicle-centric prototyping to bring such innovations to the automotive market. The role will include architecture and algorithm design to create mobile in-vehicle applications.
Moreover, the position will evaluate different wireless connectivity solutions and protocols to enable future connected vehicle applications and will also develop connectivity requirements and specifications. Furthermore, it will lead the API design for flexible in-vehicle connectivity modules and support other ERL strategic projects.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
Investigate and develop technical concepts and solutions for new generation of vehicle infotainment system with emphasis on Navigation;
Identify, analyze, and document software bugs/defects;
Present weekly QA reports (i.e. identifying the number of bug fixes, new features pending/completed, etc.);
Develop manual/automated test cases based on user requirements;
Participate in software code reviews to verify whether software implementation meets software design/requirements;
Ensure all developers are correctly following the process and performing software testing; and
Assisting with software integration and ensuring software features/defects are delivered with the correct software versions/projects
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Analytical and conceptual thinking - using logic and reason, creative and strategic
Communication skills - interpersonal, presentation and written
Computer savvy - skilled in the use of software
Integration - joining people, processes or systems
Influencing and negotiation skills
Embedded S/W development in C+
/ C Language for a Navigation system.
Proficiency in Linux.
Design & analysis of computer algorithms and data structures.
Basic knowledge of SQL
Experience with various software testing techniques (i.e. black-box testing, white-box testing, module testing, integration testing, regression testing)
Experience in QNX
Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and adaptive systems with large, dynamic databases.
Basic networking and distributed systems.
Knowledge of scripting languages.
Multi-threaded programming
Experience in a scripting language (Python, Perl, Ruby)
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
